⏱️ The Flight Plan (Important Details)

The Meetup: We gather at St. Lawrence Market North (the building with the orange roof details directly across from the main market).

Timing is Everything: To ensure our reservations at the bars stay secured, our flock takes flight promptly 5 minutes after the hour. Please aim to arrive 10 minutes early so you don't get left behind!

A Note on Food: This tour is purely focused on the art of the wine! Because we keep moving to maximize our tasting time, full meals won't be available during the tour. We highly recommend eating beforehand (though light snacks can be purchased independently at select stops if you get peckish!).

FAQ

How long is the tour and how much walking is involved?

• Expect to be out and about for roughly 3 hours. We are exploring the vibrant East End (Riverside and Corktown areas), so we will be moving at a casual, leisurely pace between bars. Expect about 15-20 minutes of walking between locations.

Where does the tour start and end?

• This tour is NOT a loop. The tour will begin at the new St. Lawrence Market North (There is plenty of Green P paid parking in the area), and end near Chez Nous Wine Bar in Riverside. The walk back is about 45 minutes OR you can take the 503 or 501 TTC street car back to the areas where we started. 

What happens if I'm running late?

• To keep things fair for the group and the venues hosting us, the tour starts strictly on time. If you're able, please contact the host and let them know your location. We will happily guide you to our next stop. 

What happens if it rains?

• We roll rain or shine! Most of our time is spent inside cozy, amazing wine bars, but we do have to walk between stops. Keep an eye on the Toronto weather forecast and bring an umbrella or raincoat if it looks a bit grey.

What exactly is included in my ticket?

• Your ticket covers entry, a guided neighborhood walk, and curated wine flights at three local wine bars. You will get to taste 2 to 3 different wines at each unique stop (a minimum of 8 tastings!).

Is food included? Can I order a meal during the tour?

• No, please eat a hearty meal before you arrive! This is strictly a wine-tasting experience. There is minimal food available at each stop (at your own expense). Our final stop puts you right in the heart of some of the best restaurants in the city for a well-deserved post-tour snack!

Can I buy bottles to take home?

• Absolutely, and we highly encourage it! You’re going to taste some incredible, unique bottles you won't find at the standard LCBO. As a Walking Pigeon guest, you'll get access to the best retail bottle shop prices at our stops so you can bring the fun home with you.

What is your refund policy?

• Because we have to pre-book and secure slots with our venue partners, tickets are non-refundable. However, if your plans change, you are more than welcome to transfer or sell your ticket to a friend who is 19+.
